Scope
These courses will be delivered at the mandatory requirements level set out in Regulation VI/1 of the Annex to the STCW convention 1995
Our provider will deliver an STCW 95 Basic Safety Training week focused specially for those working in commercial maritime environments, approved and certified by the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency – MCA.
- The training focuses on practical hands-on experiential training for each candidate
- The safety of each candidate, instructor and general public as well as the environment to be a primary and overriding objective throughout the training delivery process.
- Full debriefing session with candidates at the conclusion of each course
- All attendees must be over 18 years of age.
Programme outline and objectives
The basic training courses take place over the course of a week. They are appropriate for beginners and require no previous experience or qualifying time.
Personal Survival Techniques: Objectives
The objective of this training is to give all persons intending to go to sea the essential knowledge and experience of personal survival principles and techniques that can be applied to maximize their chances of survival in the event of a marine casualty
