A FIVE-DAY COURSE OR A SERIES OF WEEKENDS PROVIDING:

HANDS ON SAILING INSTRUCTION

AIM: This course is for beginners and those who would like to become active crewmembers rather than just passengers and who have some dinghy or cruising experience. By the end of the course you should be able to steer, handle sails, keep a lookout, row a dinghy and assist in all the day-to-day routines.

Successful candidates will be issued with the RYA National Competent Crew Certificate.

Each day involves a days sailing from base, anchoring for lunch and returning in the evening.

Candidates will be expected to supply suitable exposure protection, a life jacket will be provided. Hats and gloves, especially if the weather is poor, are recommended.
